Underrated Anime from the 2010-2021 period

 

  1. "Ao Haru Ride" (2014) - A coming-of-age story about a high school girl named Futaba who falls in love with a boy named Kou. However, their relationship takes a complicated turn and she must navigate her feelings for him, as well as her own insecurities and personal growth.

  2. "Barakamon" (2014) - A comedy-drama about a young calligrapher named Seishuu who is sent to the countryside after he punches a critic who insults his work. In this new environment, Seishuu learns about himself, forms new relationships, and grows as an artist.

  3. "The Eccentric Family" (2013) - A surreal comedy-drama about a family of tanukis (raccoon dogs) who can transform into humans. The show explores themes of family, tradition, and identity as the family members deal with their own personal issues and the eccentricities of their community.

  4. "Kokoro Connect" (2012) - A psychological drama about five high school students who are part of a cultural club.
